Organizers plan to make 2013 even bigger

Nearly $4,300 will be going to help students in Walnut Grove schools.

That was the amount raised by the first annual Walnut Grove Family Day Festival on June 23.

The event was hosted by the Walnut Grove Business Association and Sunrise Rotary Club.

In addition to activities for local kids, Walnut Grove businesses were on hand to showcase their companies to the local community.

Organizers say plans are already underway to make the 2013 event even bigger.
