Barbecue gives program a Jumpstart

More than $1,500 was raised at a barbecue held at the Langley Canadian Tire to celebrate the start of Jumpstart month

A barbecue fundraiser at the Langley Canadian Tire location raised $1,500 for the Jumpstart program.

The event was held on May 30 and signaled the start of Jumpstart Month across the country.

Jumpstart is a national program which helps Canadian kids play organized sports.

Throughout the month of June, Canadian Tire stores are selling red balls and red pucks for $2 with all of the proceeds going to Jumpstart.
