Grade 10 students at Brookswood Secondary learned about auto insurance and safety at a recent event put on by Envision Insurance and ICBC.

Insurance experts shared important information about the financial implications of motor vehicle fines and the estimated cost to insure different vehicles, while ICBC showed students the dangers of distracted/impaired driving through their driving simulator and distracted walking course.

“These activities were a great way to engage with students in a fun but meaningful way,” said Jennifer Gauthier, Grade 10 careers facilitator at Brookswood Secondary School.

“It was pretty clear to see through their excitement and natural curiosity, that the students really enjoyed the content of the workshop.”
