Langley City’s new destination marketing organization has hired a manager of operations.
Discover Langley City announced Friday that Kristina Gervais will take on the role.
Gervais has had a long career in the hospitality industry and brings many years of experience working in different aspects of tourism, according to a statement released by Discover Langley City.
She has worked in hotel management, was the tourism co-ordinator for the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce and oversaw Destination Marketing in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
“I am looking forward to working with the tourism stakeholders to promote Langley City to visitors and to build a solid organization and a strong industry, based on collaboration, smart digital strategies and insight driven marketing,”said Gervais.
“We believe in the power of partnerships and Discover Langley City will continue to work with our accommodations providers and area attractions to build creative packages to encourage visitors to have a fun and unique experience in Langley City,” said executive director, Teri James.
“We have a number of existing attractions to draw overnight visitors including festivals, events, arts, outdoor experiences, gaming and conventions spaces.”
