Fort Langley store owner mingles with celebrities

A Fort Langley shop owner is hob-nobbing with some big celebrities this weekend.

Jasmine Marjanovich, owner of Cranberries Naturally gets to hang with Oprah Winfrey, Steven Taylor, Goldie Hawn, Jay Leno, the Tenors, and Carly Rae Jepsen at the upcoming David Foster Foundation event.

Foster asked Marjanovich to donate 50 jars of her cranberry jelly to the VIP baskets.

In turn, she was surprised to receive tickets to this weekend’s event.

“I am so stoked,” she told the Langley Advance. “Life is good… Feeling super blessed.”

The foundation was started decades ago by the award-winning Victoria musician, composer, and producer. It raised money for families undergoing pediatric organ transplants.

He is hosting the 30th anniversary Miracle Gala and Concert is being held Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Parq Vancouver and Rogers Arena. Last year’s event was held in Winnipeg.

Ahead of this weekend’s gala and concert, Foster will be in Victoria on Thursday for a special Trans-Canada Trail event that includes a plaque unveiling and guided tour of David Foster Way.

He will officially announce that British Columbia’s section of The Great Trail is now fully connected, province-wide. With this last link, the dream of a cross-Canada trail is now a reality, stretching for more than 24,000 kilometres.
