Langley-born and raised Tim Bontkes garnered some bling this past weekend for the work he and his team at Infinity Properties did on building and marketing the Heritage executive townhomes in Murrayville.

Bontkes, who grew up living and breathing construction while working alongside his father and brothers in the family business, later trained as a civil engineer and eventually turned his lifelong passion for building into his own business in 2001.

Among a number of his current projects peppered throughout B.C., Bontkes and his team are building The Belmont, Woodland Park, Hyde Canyon, and Heritage, in his hometown of Langley.

It is the sold-out Heritage project, located at the cusp of hospital hill in Murrayville, that has earned him and the Infinity team the recent series of accolades during the Georgie Awards ceremony Saturday night in Vancouver.

Two awards were presented to Infinity Properties, one for production of the best multi-family townhouse development, and the other – a Grand Georgie Award – for the best marketing campaign of the year.

There were a couple other Langley housing projects recognized during the Georgie Awards, which are annual accolades presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of B.C.

Before a sold-out crowd of about 600 industry peers, Foxridge Homes Metro Vancouver (Qualico Developments Vancouver Inc.) was lauded for the best single-family home up to 2,300-square-feet (and valued at under $500,000) for production of Willoughby West.

An award was also presented to My House Design/Build/Team Ltd., for the best residential renovation (between $100,000 and $299,000) for a home in Tall Timbers.

These awards are recognized provincially and nationally as a premier housing awards program that highlights excellence in home building and renovation in the province, explained CHBABC’s CEO Neil Moody.

“Our members help to build and grow great communities throughout British Columbia. We are proud to present and host the Georgie Awards each year to showcase the innovation taking place within the industry.” Moody said, congratulating all the 2017 winners.

Entries were all built, renovated, developed, created and/or marketed between Jan. 1, 2015 and Sept. 30, 2016, and judged by a panel of out-of-province industry professionals.
