The existing play structure at Nicomekl Elementary School includes one slide to entertain roughly 200 students, so members of the Parent Advisory Committee are hoping residents will come out on Sunday, June 10 and take a test drive in one of several select vehicles. For each test drive Preston GM will donate $25, up to a total of $2,500. The money will be used to expand the playground. submitted photo

Nicomekl Elementary school’s Parent Advisory committee is asking local car shoppers to take a 15-minute spin on their behalf this month.

For every licensed driver who tests out a Chevy Malibu, Volt, Bolt, Cruise or SUV, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, Preston GM will donate $25 toward a new intermediate playground for the Langley City school, to a maximum of $2,500.

Test drives will leave from the Nicomekl Elementary parking lot, at 20050 53 Ave.
