Six million for Langley from Telus

Telus is investing $6 million in Langley in an effort to further expand and enhance its wireless and wireline networks.

The contribution is part of the company’s $670 million infrastructure investment across British Columbia in 2011, it was announced on Tuesday.

“Telus will invest $6 million to further expand our world-class wireless network and bring faster Internet speeds and Optik TV to even more local businesses and households,” said John Leckman, the director of customer solutions delivery for the community.

Telus is laying thousands of kilometres of fibre optic lines to support the growing demand in B.C. They will also help provide customers access to even better and faster wireless broadband services by installing nearly 80 new wireless sites and introducing HSPA+ Dual Cell technology, one of the most advanced wireless technologies in the world.
