After weeks of hard work, planning and preparation, the students at Topham Elementary had the chance to showcase the end result of the fruits of their business labours as the school held a Young Entrepreneur Show on Dec. 11.
The students were part of PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs, a six week comprehensive educational program utilizing project-based learning techniques to support an early understanding of money management, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Members of Envision Financial worked with the students in developing a better understanding around financial literacy, business planning and good corporate citizenship.
The students showcased their products at the trade show last week, where they sold their goods to students, families and community leaders. The products ranged from 50 cents to $5.
