TransLink update on menu at Langley Chamber meeting

CEO to speak on transportation authority's future plans

The future plans of TransLink will be front and centre at this month’s Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce meeting.

TransLink’s Future Plans: Funding and Governance will be presented by TransLink chief operating officer Doug Kelsey.

“In the Lower Mainland, transportation congestion and the movement of goods and services continue to be a major concern,” said Chamber president Denni Bonetti.

“In recent weeks, there have been a number of statements made by various levels of government concerning funding solutions to sustain transportation expansion into the future.

“We wish to provide our members with information on transit plans for south of the Fraser, the responsibilities of all levels of government and the funding options available to them.”

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 17 at the Cascades Casino Coast Hotel and Convention Centre. Networking is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by dinner and the presentation.

Cost is $30 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members.

Registration closes on Friday at 5 p.m.
