If you’ve got a spectacular light display at your home this winter, the Now wants to see it.

The Bonneteaus, a Cloverdale family at 16951 Jersey Dr. (169th St. and 60th Ave.), is holding their annual “Winter Wonderland Christmas" display. They have even more lights and Christmas characters this year. “We have dancing lights, 2 larger than life Nutcrackers, a large nativity scene, the lights on the roof are called waterfall lights and they have motion. We also have lights that are synchronized to music.” The favourite is a handmade nativity scene including a stable by a popular woodworking teacher. The family is raising money for Variety — The Children’s Charity. The lights are on from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. from now until Jan.7th.
The Wagner family will be lighting things up on Dec. 2 until Jan. 1. Things will be “bigger and better” this year, the family reports. They’ve set up outdoor speakers for a light show set to music, which runs every hour, on the hour for 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Like previous years, they will be raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. The money is raised in honour of Karen Wagner's father who died of cancer many years ago. The family also lost a friend named Eleanor to the disease. "We remember those we lost but also remember those going through treatment currently," said Karen in an email. "The lights bring us and everyone much enjoyment and so we look to a great turnout this year." Check it out at 19056 63B Ave.
A home at 6598 192A St. in Cloverdale's Clayton community is a popular attraction. "Love this house! Always puts me in the Christmas spirit and I frequently detour to go by on my way home," one area resident tells us.
Starting on Dec. 1, thousands of bulbs and dozens of ornaments will be lit as part of the annual display at the Kinna family’s home in Cloverdale at 16956 60A Ave. From reindeer on the rooftop to penguins wearing bow ties, they’ve pretty much got it all. Again this year, the family is collecting donations for incubators for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital. See the lights for yourself, Sunday to Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and extended hours until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, through to January. And ask Jay for a candy cane - he likes handing them out.
Every night from Dec. 1 to Jan. 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. you may walk through or just drive past to enjoy the sights at 15097 90A Ave. There are over 10,000 lights as well as the North Pole and nativity scene. On Dec. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. Santa and Frosty will be on site to visit with candy canes for the kids and coffee, hot chocolate for the grownups.
The "Wish Upon a Star" display from the McLean family returns at a new location. Formerly in Surrey, the display is now in Langley at 20681 44th Ave., running from now until Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to midnight. Check out more than 44,000 lights with many animated characters, an interactive musical snowman, as well and Santa and his sleigh flying overhead. Sip hot chocolate and take a picture with Bumble, Rudolph and friends. Donations will be accepted for BC Children's Hospital. See more at www.facebook.com/wishuponastarchristmas.
A house at 18279 Claytonwood Crescent, Surrey, boasts a Christmas display featuring thousands of lights. Marilyn Flathen tells us the lights are usually on between 5 and 9:30 p.m. nightly.
A home at 7311 194th St. is a treasure that used to be located in North Vancouver. "My husband has been doing his display for 30 years. We moved out here six years ago and have been doing it here ever since. Every year we change things up by adding new things," wife Deanna Murray tells the Now. "He takes pride in his decorations and loves to see the families walking at night and enjoying the lights. As he says: 'If i can make one person happy, I have done a good job.'" This year the big man himself will be out front to greet families on select nights.
The Kelly family is shining bright for another year, at 15349 85A Ave. Their spirit has now extended to their neighbour's homes where you can see more than 40,000 lights and two yard full of decorations.
The Fletcher family has done their display for many years, supporting the Sources Food Bank. Check out their lights at 15499 22nd Ave. in South Surrey.
"My parents have been putting on an epic Christmas lights display at my childhood home, 8421 Spenser Place, for as long as I can remember," Jason Peterson tells the Now. "My dad somehow manages to find things to add to it every year. In recent years he has started putting overflow decorations on multiple other houses in the cul de sac. Definitely worth checking out."
John Peterse has been doing Christmas lights since he was little with his dad. "Today I do 30,000 lights and dances to the music," he tells us of his home at 4086 205B St, Langley. "My lights are on from 5 to 10 p.m. every night seven days a week until Jan. 3." To hear the lights synchronized the music, tune into 99.7 FM from your vehicle. Check out the display below.
