A Mountie in red serge boosts a child up to pin her poppy on the cenotaph at the Aldergrove Legion on Saturday.
The rains held off just long enough for the 2,000 or more at the Aldergrove Remembrance Day ceremonies, Nov. 11.
The community has always been strong supporters of the annual event, turning out in droves even when the weather is awful. This year the threat posed by heavy rainclouds held off until the last of the wreaths had been laid.
