The annual Monarch Butterfly Release takes place at Krause Berry Farms on July 9 in support of Langley Hospice Society and Langley Lodge. Butterflies are $20 each, but numbers are limited. Anyone who would like to release a butterfly is encouraged to reserve one.

The Langley Hospice Society and Langley Lodge will hold their annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, July 9 at Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery.

More than 325 Monarch butterflies will spread their wings and take flight for the first time in the gardens at the Otter area farm.

This annual fundraising event attracts hundreds of people as butterflies are released by visitors of all ages to celebrate and remember loved ones, while supporting both the hospice and the lodge.

The Butterfly Release will happen promptly at 1:30 p.m.

With limited numbers of butterflies available, pre-ordering is recommended for those who want to participate in the release.

Butterflies can be pre-ordered for $20 each until July 8, or onsite for $25 at Krause Berry Farms on event day, until they are sold out.

In addition to the spectacular butterflies in flight, this fun and inspirational event will include entertainment, children’s crafts and activities.
