Barely time to sleep during jam-packed summer camp

Salvation Army now accepting applications for Camp Sunrise on Sunshine Coast

Langley Salvation Army is accepting applications for kids to go to The Salvation Army Camp Sunrise Holiday Camp in Gibson.

“Holiday camp is a week filled with fun. Kids go swimming, canoeing, try archery, zip lining, hiking, and I’m guessing not much sleep because they don’t want to miss out on all the fun,” said Salvation Army’s Andrea Voss.

The camp is for kids ages seven to 12 years of age, from July 22 to July 27.

Cost is $300 per child. However, a subsidy is available for those who can’t afford it. For those families on income assistance, IA will provide $200 towards camp costs. Transportation to and from camp is provided.  Parents just have to get their kids to Gateway of Hope. There are still a few spots left. The Langley ministry unit only has 10 spots for Langley kids.

So if you know a kid that would love to go to camp for a week who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to go, contact Voss for an application at 604-514-7375.
