Big Langley bike ride marks Canada Day

A regional bike ride matches distance to the nation’s age.

The BC Randonneurs are once again hosting a celebratory bike race on July 1, offering a healthy way to mark Canada Day.

Each year the cycling group hosts a ride of one kilometre for each year of the nation’s birthday.

This year’s Canada Day Populaire is 149 kilometres around the region.

Early bird registration is passed but people can still register on race day for $30.

The start and finish are at Yorkson Community Park and the event starts at 7:30 a.m.
