Car show for ‘Kids Can Help’

Event runs from noon to 3 p.m. on April 30 at Mr. Mikes on 200 Street. Donations to local charity in support of B.C. Children's Hospital

Mr. Mikes Langley will host a car show followed by a patio launch party on Saturday, April 30 from noon to 5 p.m.

The steakhouse located on 200 Street, will host the show, with donations going to “Kids Can Help.”

The Kids Can Help charity was formed in 2011 by a then 10-year-old Sean Thomas, who went around with a can collecting money for B.C. Children’s Hospital. Since then, he has been joined by team of young people. Together, they have raised more than $60,000 by putting on several fundraisers each year.

The car show, which goes from noon to 3 p.m., will be followed by a patio party featuring games, a photo booth, a giant Jenga game, barbecue on the patio and prizes.

Donations of cash, canned food, new clothing and kids’ toys will go to Kids Can Help.
