Wearing his new kilt, Bob Long greets Rudy Storteboom and other guests at the sold-out Ceilidh, Sunday afternoon at Coghlan Community Hall.

A full house enjoyed dancing and food at the first Ceilidh held at Coghlan Community Hall Sunday afternoon.

The sold-out event was organized as a fundraiser for the hall and its caretakers, the Aldergrove Festival Days Society. The society organizes community activities such as Aldergrove Fair Days and Aldergrove Light-Up Christmas Parade every year, and uses the hall as its base for meetings.

The Sunday event was a success and organizer Bb Long is aiming to repeat the good times with the upcoming Country Christmas Party at Coghlan Hall.

The party will feature more good food and great music, this time from award-winning fiddler Mike Sanyshyn, accompanied by his wife Tianna on vocals and Craig McGregor on guitar.

It all happens on Sunday, Dec. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m., and tickets are only $10 each. To reserve call 604-671-8948.

Coghlan Hall is located at 6795 - 256 Street, Aldergrove.
