Here’s some of what’s going on around the Langleys, including community- and support-group meetings

Highschool musical – A mini musical: Langley Arts Council Youth Musical Theatre presents the show on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre, 26770 29th Ave. Tickets: tickettailor.com (event 779562).

Winged Woodworkers: Metro Vancouver program about woodpeckers is for ages nine and older and runs 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 at Aldergrove Regional Park. $9 per adult and $4.50 for children, youth, and seniors 65 and older. Registration and info: metrovancouver.org.

Movember ivy pull events: Langley Environmental Partners Society invites public to help pull up ivy, an invasive species, at Steele Park, 5505 248th St., from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 26 and 27. Lunch provided. Info and registration: stewardship@leps.bc.ca.

Classic Rock Night: Fort Langley Community Improvement Society Myles of Smiles fall concert series presents Jennifer Diamond and the Roughcuts starting at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 25, in the Fort Langley Community Hall. Jazz Night: Trinity Western University band and orchestra perform starting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28 at the campus music building. Admission by donation to enjoy the vocal jazz ensemble, and jazz combo in a program of upbeat tunes. Info: music@twu.ca.

Babytime: Fraser Valley Regional Library 30-minute sessions for babies and caregivers during summer are Mondays at 2 at the City branch; and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Aldergrove branch. Tech help for seniors: Aldergrove library, 26770 29th Ave., has one-on-one help for seniors. Bring the device (cellphone, tables, ereaders, laptops) and receive up to 60 minutes free help. Register in advance at 604-856-6415, in person, or at www.fvrl.ca.
