Groups are welcome to submit information about upcoming community events in Langley. Publication is at the discretion of the newspaper, and host groups are responsible for keeping their information up to date.

Rotary 50/50 Mega Draw: Four Langley Rotary Clubs again have the 50/50 draw with a minimum $50,000 jackpot. Last year’s jackpot was $315,000. Ticket packages start at $20. Available until Sunday, Aug. 18. Info: www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/langleyrotary.

Community Harvest: Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) would like to hear from people with fruits and vegetables to donate to the gleaning program. Fill the Ambulance: Public invited to donate food and sundries for distribution to local people struggling financially. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Kimz Angels will be at the Murrayville IGA on Saturday, June 15.

World’s largest anvil unveiling: B.C. Farm Museum is now home to the world’s largest sculpted acoustic anvil. Community can attend the official unveiling now that it has been painted. Event is 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. Artist and creator and manufacturer on site. Live demonstrations of blacksmithing and farriers, plus live entertainment, and self-guided tours of the museum available. Museum is always admission by donation.Info: www.bcfma.com.

Relay for Life fundraiser: The Gallery Relay for Life team clothing and bottle drive is Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Accepting donations of gently used clothing, bedding items, shoes and purses along with recyclable cans and containers (no glass). Drop off is the back parking lot of Macfarlane Insurance, 20440 Douglas Cres. Access through the alley off Park Avenue or 204 Street.

Boot sale: St. Andrew’s Anglican Church has a sale in its parking lot, 20955 Old Yale Rd., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, rain or shine. Repair Cafe: Langley Environmental Partners Society in partnership with Langley City have a repair cafe at the Langley City Library, 20399 Douglas Cres., on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteer tinkerers will try to repair household items such as small appliances, clothing, other textiles, toys, tools, bikes, and more. Bring any parts that may be needed. Free but donations accepted. No registration required.

Rock or Bust: AC/DC tribute band performs at cancer fundraiser hosted by Old Farts Car Club on Saturday, June 15, starting at 8:15 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Aldergrove Branch, 26607 Fraser Hwy. 50/50 draw, silent auction, and more.

Stalew 10th anniversary celebration: People invited to the Fort Langley National Historic Site on Saturday, June 15 for a celebration of the local Indigenous arts and cultural society between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Free admission and lots to see and do, including a vendors market, Red Hawk singers (10:15 a.m.), Salish Thunderbird performance (10:30 a.m.), plant walk with Karen Gabriel (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.), blacksmithing (11:30 p.m.), Fern Gabriel storytelling (noon and 3 p.m.), Grounding Langley presentation (12:30 p.m.), pow wow performance by Wild River Singers and Dancers (2 p.m.), and Wild Moccassin Dancers (2:45 p.m.).

MS Bike - Fraser Valley: Public can sign up to ride June 15 and 16 along various routes through Langley, Maple Ridge and west Abbotsford to raise money for the MS Society. Water Wise: Langley Environmental Partners Society will have a Water Wise booth set up at the Township Civic Facility, 20338 65 Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, and Thursday, June 20. It will also be at various community events during the summer to explain about water usage and restrictions. Water Wise program will distribute water saving items to Township residents at its booth.

Langley Environmental Partners Society AGM: Group's annual general meeting is 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the Fort Langley National Historic Site theatre room.
