On Thursday, Oct. 12 local musicians and singers will host a fundraising concert for Kiersten and Devon at Gabby’s Country Cabaret in Langley City.

An Aldergrove townhouse fire in the early morning hours of Sept. 13 seriously damaged three neighbouring units, causing relatively minor injuries.

However, three families are left without homes and almost all of their belongings while insurers work on restoring the units.

There have been fundraisers for the families to help them get by, and Langley country music performers are banding together for another benefit for their old friend, Kiersten Dueck, and her partner Devon.

Kiersten is the daughter of country singer Lori Jordan and sound engineer Geoff Dueck, and she grew up in the local country music scene. She also grew up in the townhome she shared with her family until the fire.

On Thursday, Oct. 12 local musicians and singers will host a fundraising concert for Kiersten and Devon at Gabby’s Country Cabaret in Langley City. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Guests are asked to contribute a minimum $10 cash donation, and there will be a silent auction as well as live music from six performers during that evening, including Chelsea Charlton, Dave Hartney, Jordan Aaron Pritchett, Danielle Marie, Karen Lee Batten and Chris Buck.
