Cross-Canada hospice trekker making Langley stop

The Langley Hospice Society has an open house Friday.

Ian Bos is walking 45 kilometres per day to cross Canada and stopping at the Langley Hospice Society Oct. 23.

Ian’s Walk for End of Life Care will take him from Nova Scotia to Victoria to raise awareness of hospice and palliative care.

It’s a five-month trek and Langley is one of his final stops near the end of the journey.

Langley Hospice volunteer Roy Clements will walk with him to the local office, 20660 48th Ave., where there will be an open house starting at 2 p.m.

The public is invited to meet Bos, who will say a few word about his trip, and learn about the local hospice organization, its various programs and services.
