A memorial service is set for Dec. 1 for a long-time soccer administrator and coach in Langley.

Bob Boyd-Whitely passed away suddenly earlier this month from a heart attack.

Boyd-Whitely was a former president of the Langley United Soccer Association and a long-time soccer administrator and coach in Langley. He also continued to play the sport for the First Capital over 60s team in Langley.

He also worked as a speech pathologist in the Langley school district prior to his retirement.

A memorial service will be held on Dec. 1 at Kwomais Point Park in South Surrey at 3 p.m.
