Free winter seminars for seniors

Sessions offer advice for both physical and financial well being

The Winter Public Education Series, offered on the third Tuesday of each month, is an opportunity for local seniors to learn more about protecting both their physical and their financial well being.

The focus of the series, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Langley Lodge, is to provide free education for local citizens on topics relevant to seniors and aging, primarily concerning health and wellness. The winter 2013 series will run from January to March. Topics will include financial planning, taxation matters for seniors and living well, driving well.

Guest speakers are experts and sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long.

Langley Lodge is located at 5451 204 St. in Langley City. There is free parking available in front of the facility.
