The upcoming Golf Challenge event to support Langley Lodge is not a golf tournament.
Organizers have heard there is some confusion surrounding the second annual Golf Challenge to be held on June 8. They want to let people know that this event is not a golf tournament, but a golf skills challenge for players of all ages.
On Sunday, June 8, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., the Langley Golf Centre (21550 44 Ave.) will host the fundraiser for Langley Lodge. The event kicks off in the morning, but people are welcome to drop by throughout the day to participate. It will take about an hour to complete the course.
There will be six activities and following the last one, participants will have a chance to sink a hole-in-one and win a cruise.
This event is something for the golf enthusiast but organizers stress that it is a fun event and even those who’ve never golfed are sure to enjoy it.
Because of the large number of prizes, no matter what your skill level you could win something.
“We have over $3,500 in prizes over and above the cruise package,” said event organizer, Doug Jensen.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children under 16. Tickets will be available at the Langley Lodge, the Langley Golf and Banquet Centre plus individual vendors and clubs.
Those who purchase tickets prior to June 4, will be eligible for early bird draw prizes
