Langley's Colin Hansen in his Ford Mustang Cobra will be racing on July 12 and 13 in support of Ronald McDonald House BC.

Langley's Colin Hansen is set to put the pedal to the metal, all for a good cause.

Hansen will be among the participants in the 2014 Race for the House, in support of Ronald McDonald House BC.

The event is being staged by the Sport Car Club of B.C. and sponsored by Mazda Canada. It will be held July 12 and July 13 at the River's Edge Road Course at  Mission Raceway Park (32670 Dyke Rd.)

The feature race for the weekend will be the fifth annual Family Affair Racing Team Formula Vee Invitational. Highlights include the Hot Laps for Kids, where fans, families and kids can purchase two hot laps in a high performance car driven by a professional driver. There will also be a poker tournament and 50/50 raffle.

There will also be Vintage Car Club vehicles and Cadillac Club vehicles on display.

Practice, qualifying and racing goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days and tickets are $10 each or $25 per carload of four people or more.
