Langley residents are invited to Step Up for the Kids this weekend.

Two different challenges will take place over two days, all in support of a single cause.

Proceeds from the two hikes will benefit Christian Life Assembly’s Bus Ministry.

Every Saturday, between 120 and 150 underprivileged children are picked up at home to take part in Kids Klub at CLA.

In the summertime, the bus ministry brings the program to the community with Sidewalk Kids Klub.

The first hike begins Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. at the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver. Prizes will be awarded for fastest times up the hill.

The second event takes place on Sunday, July 22, starting at 3:30 p.m. on the Fort to Fort Trail.

Participants will meet outside Lelem cafe on Billy Brown Road in Fort Langley, and walk to Derby Reach Edgewater Bar picnic grounds for a family BBQ.

A minimum donation of $25 is the entry fee for the event, but prizes will be awarded for those who raise the most money and pledges.
