The annual Yorkson Creek fish release proved to be a real family affair over the weekend.

More than 75 children and adults turned out to help with this spring's salmon release into the north Langley creek on Saturday, April 12.

About 50,000 salmon parr — juvenile fish which are slightly more developed than fry — were poured gently out of buckets into the creek, which is a tributary of the Fraser River.
