Realtors in the Langley and Aldergrove helped to warm those in need this season with the 24th annual Realtors Care Blanket Drive.
In Langley and Aldergrove, realtors collected 135 bags of warm clothing that were donated to the Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope Shelter, Ishtar Transition Housing Society, and Wagner Hill Ministry.

Between Nov. 13 and 20, 10 drop-off locations were opened in Langley at various real estate offices.
The drive was Lower Mainland-wide, but all of the donations were distributed directly within the community they were collected in.
Throughout the Lower Mainland, approximately 39,000 residents received blankets and warm clothing.
“In keeping with the spirit of giving and caring that is very much needed this time of the year, and the commitment of many of our member volunteers and real estate offices, we have been able to help vulnerable and less privileged people live more comfortably this cold winter,” said Fraser Valley Real Estate Board president John Barbisan.
And another organization that also helped warm the community this year is the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association with the 23rd annual Coats for Kids campaign.
From Nov. 1 to 30, Coats for Kids collected coats at four drop-off locations in Langley that went to support the Lower Mainland and Surrey Christmas Bureaus.
Overall, 6,000 items were collected in the 67 drop-off locations across Metro Vancouver.
