On March 1, Heinz and Johanna Suhrmann celebrated 70 years of marriage, but their story goes back further than that.
The couple had been together for two years before they decided to get married.
They were both born in Germany and immigrated to Canada with their three children in 1959, putting down roots in Winnipeg, Man.
In 2005 they moved to Langley, and have called this community home ever since.
They celebrated their special day with friends and family at Elizabeth’s Chalet Restaurant.
