Members of the Township of Langley Firefighters’ Charitable Society spend Saturday out in the drizzle to help kids have fun.

The firefighters had a charity car wash at the Fort Langley Evangelical Free Church on Saturday as they help raise funds for a new playground at Fort Langley Elementary School.

They raised $1,500 for the school playground.

It’s one of several events taking place around Langley.

Walnut Grove Secondary had mushroom manure sales taking place.

There are volunteers in every neighbourhood picking up trash for Clean Up Langley Day. In Langley City, volunteers are taking part in a Pitch-In litter pickup.
