We don't know what they talked about but Langley's Ellie Brownlee got to share a flight with Santa on Tuesday. Brownlee was one of 100 sick children on Air Transat and Children's Wish Foundation Flight 1204 flying on a very special mission to bring Santa back to Vancouver.

For the seventh year, Air Transat and the Children's Wish Foundation have taken sick kids and their family members on a 60 minute flight full of Christmas excitement and magic.

In total, 300 passengers got on board, including family, children and special elves to help the children. Sometime into the flight Santa made a surprise appearance and handed out presents to the wide-eyed children.

Along with impromptu singing of Christmas carols, fun was had by all, said the Foundation.

Air Transat also gave $780,000 to the Foundation on Tuesday. That donation represents two years worth of money collected from Air Transat's Small Change, Big Hearts program.

Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of three and 17 are diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Children's Wish Foundation grants more than 19,000 wishes.
