Langley-Aldergrove MP Mark Warawa isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

On Saturday, he was once again outside the Langley Home Depot with members of the Langley Environmental Partners Society for the annual plant giveaway.

The initiative sees the MP teamed up with the local environmental group to distribute 1,000 seedlings of native plants.

This year’s choices were dwarf bilberry and chokecherry.

The June 10 plant giveaway was the ninth year that the MP and LEPS have distributed plants native to this area.
