Langley park site of free fishing lesson for kids Thursday

Learn to Fish: A Fraser River Experience is Thursday evening at Derby Reach Regional Park.

From 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 18, kids ages seven to 15 can learn to fish, courtesy of the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, the Watershed Watch Salmon Society, and Metro Vancouver.

Adults must accompany the children. Sign up at fraservalley@gofishbc.com or 604-504-4716.

It’s free for kids to take part in this program and a free tidal fishing licence must be filled out on site.

Metro Vancouver is a partnership of 21 municipalities, one Electoral Area and one Treaty First Nation that collaboratively plans for and delivers regional-scale services.
