The Fraser Valley Quilters’ Guild is raffling off a quilt called Northern Lights and has it show June 23 and 24.

The nation’s 150th birthday has inspired local quilters who will have their creations on display at Patchwork Nation, the Fraser Valley Quilters’ Guild 2017 show this weekend.

The George Preston Recreation Centre will be a cozy place to visit when the guild showcases quilts.

The show is open to the public 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, featuring a heritage textile display, a tea room, a merchants’ mall, and more.

The guild’s quilt raffle features a piece called Northern Lights. People can also purchase tickets by contacting zakpak@dccnet.com.

Admission is $7 (men admitted free).
