Langley United Soccer Association players Aiden McDonald and Marcus Stang were among the volunteers collecting hundreds of toys and food for families at last year's food and toy drive. The youth soccer association will be back collecting donations for the Langley Christmas Bureau and Langley Food Bank on Dec. 7 at Willoughby Community Park.

After filling one van with food and toys last year, the Langley United Soccer Association has doubled their goal to fill two this time around.

The local soccer association will be hosting their annual food and toy drive on Saturday (Dec. 14) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  They will be collecting donations of new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at the turf fields at Willoughby Community Park (78B Ave., next to the Langley Events Centre).

It was originally scheduled for Dec. 7 but the Township had closed all fields because of the poor weather.

Everything collected will be donated to the Langley Christmas Bureau and the Langley Food Bank.
