Langley's Rotary Clubs are seeking nominees for annual Women of Distinction Awards.

The four local clubs are celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 with a luncheon and their annual award presentation to an ‘unsung hero’ in the community.

Applications to nominate a candidate for the Women of Distinction Award are available on the event’s website at https://rotarywomensday.com/. For additional information, contact Sydney Morfitt at sydney.morfitt@gmail.com .

The deadline for nominations is Saturday, Feb. 22.

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 8, at Adrian's at the Airport, 5385 216 St., and doors open at 11:30. The luncheon will take place from noon until 2 p.m. Ticket price for the event is $60, and will include a lunch, a silent auction, and a 50/50 draw. The website is also the place to obtain tickets.

The event will also feature an inspirational speaker Beverlee Rasmussen, who is a local business coach. She will address this year’s theme of ‘Accelerate Action’. The four clubs – Langley Central Rotary, Langley Rotary, Langley Sunrise Rotary, and Aldergrove Rotary – have hosted International Women's Day events in the community for many years. The awards ceremony helps the clubs raise money for their charitable works.
