Bring your umbrella and join the fun for Langley City’s annual Magic of Christmas Parade, happening this Saturday, Dec. 2 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Langley.

The three-part event includes entertainment and crafts, a parade featuring Santa Claus himself, followed by the tree lighting and caroling.

The fun starts in McBurney Plaza with live music and crafts for the kids.

Parade starts at 6 p.m. heading east along Fraser Highway to 207 Street.

The annual tree lighting takes place at 7 p.m. at McBurney Plaza.

Last year’s parade was a wet one, but still lots of people turned out. The weather forecast calls for rain this Saturday.

But if you want the kids to stay dry and see Santa, come to Breakfast With Santa at Douglas Recreation Centre that morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be crafts, face painting and a magic show.

Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and bacon, juice, tea and coffee. Cost is $10. To register or for more info call Douglas Rec Centre at 604-514-2865.
