Movember taken to new lengths

Two men plan a run from Langley to Chilliwack to raise funds.

Two local men are taking Movember to new lengths, by running 64 kilometres in one day to raise funds for men’s health.

Adrian Cremayer and Mitch Mccray-Stokes will run from Langley to Chilliwack on Saturday, Dec. 1. All money they raise will go to Movember, to promote awareness of prostate cancer.

Cremayer said the two wanted to do more than just grow mustaches in November, so decided on the run. He  has been inspired by Terry Fox and felt a run would be a good way to raise some additional funds.

They plan to begin their run at 5 a.m. and will use side roads to get to Chilliwack, avoiding major highways. Cremayer’s goal is to raise $400 through the run.

As part of the fundraising efforts, the two will host a pub night will be held at Henry Public House in Cloverdale on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, and that includes a beer and burger with fries. To make direct donations to their campaign, people can donate to the ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ Team at http://ca.movember.com/team/820469.

The two have been training for a while now.

They will be making pit stops during the day, and expect the entire run to take just under 10 hours.
