There’s a relatively easy way to help our four-legged friends in “Fort Mac.”

And that’s by making a donation or buying a bag of pet food, which will directly help other canines impacted by the wildfire in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Natural Balance Pet Foods will have a tent (along with other vendors) set up in the store parking lot during the Spring into Summer event this Saturday, May 14 at the Paw Street Market, 101-22259 48th Ave.

During the event, people can visit with more than 20 product representatives, participate in pet activities, and sample treats and pet foods.

As well, for every large bag of Natural Balance sold during the event, a 4.5 lb bag of the company’s Synergy Dog food will be donated to fire relief efforts in Alberta.

This food is designed to help ease a dog’s nervous stomach (which many can have as they are away from their homes), while providing complete and balanced nutrition, noted Gerard Renaud, Natural Balance Pet Foods’ territory sales manager, Fraser Valley/BC Interior North.

In addition, for every $10 donation, Natural Balance Pet Foods will provide another 4.5-pound bag.

“Kary Movers will graciously take the food to shelters in Northern Alberta for us,” Renaud said.
