The public is invited to the opening of the Historic Fort Langley to Golden Ears Bridge Demonstration Project, which connects Derby Reach to 208 Street.
The event, on Saturday, July 23, is hosted jointly by Metro Vancouver and the Township of Langley and runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to put on their walking shoes or bring their bicycles to Derby Reach Regional Park for a free, fun, outdoor family event. Visitors will have a chance to tour the new 2.7 km trail, which features exhibits, stunning scenery, and newly opened parkland.
Take in spectacular views of the Fraser River and experience more opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors as you explore a new portion of the Trans Canada Trail.
A ceremony and ribbon cutting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Watch for event signs along Allard Crescent, east of 208 Street.
