Nine students get scholarships

Langley Retired Teachers’ Association has been busy awarding nine scholarships to graduates who have indicated that they intend to further their studies in the field of education.

Langley Retired Teachers’ Association has been busy awarding nine scholarships to graduates who have indicated that they intend to further their studies in the field of education.

Each school chose the recipient and LRTA members were invited to present the awards at each school ceremony.

The winners of the $500 scholarships are: Dan Randle, Aldergrove Community Secondary; Madeline Johnson, Brookswood Secondary; Emily Cantera, Langley Secondary; Justine Rodriguez, Langley Fundamental; Breanne Sewak, Langley Fine Arts; Lynnea Setterstrom, Langley Education Centre; Stephanie Mufford, R.E. Mountain Secondary; Jessica Hallman, D.W. Poppy Secondary; and Brett Payne, Walnut Grove Secondary.
