Bricks, and not the kind that were the first cellphone models, will help the Alder Grove Heritage Society Telephone Museum fundraise.
When the Aldergrove School was demolished in 2015, the society kept about 600 of the bricks.
“The bricks were made in Langley,” noted Erik Simonsen, head of the society.
The school was built in 1913, opened in 1914 and closed in 2007.
The society is selling the bricks for $25 apiece, with a historic photo attached.
The phone museum has about 100 to sell. The other 500 will be used in the construction of community benches for around Aldergrove.
