The Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) hosted a community clean up of Portage Park on July 24. Lauren Hines, Isabel Scheier and Hannah Cardle are with LEPS youth stewardship program and took part.
Nathan Kettler pulled a shopping cart out of the creek in the park he says his family uses everyday.
Park patrons and clean up crews also found disturbing chalk messages around the park, including Die Users and Go fentanyl, keep killing.
