Pastor Emmanuel Twagirimana relates the story of his life, death, and subsequent return to life during the upheaval caused by the Rwandan war.
During the 1994 Rwanda genocide, Twagirimana was struck by shrapnel from a bomb that hit his neighbour’s house and he died. He now talks about his journey to heaven and hell during his death experience. He was miraculously brought back to life and sent to the world with a message. He speaks about the restoration and healing of his body, which was decaying after seven days of death.
His story has been put in a book, Seven Days in Heaven. Now a resident of Nairobi, Kenya, he is presently on a speaking tour in B.C. and Alberta. He will be speaking about his experiences on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at Walnut Grove Lutheran Church, 20530 88 Avenue.
