‘Tis the weekend to share some of the holiday cheer with the animals.

There are a number of pet photos with Santa on the books in the Langley area this weekend, including these three events.

One is at Willowbrook Shopping Centre. This has no charity aspect, but runs 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 (and Dec. 9). Check online for session availability, tips, and rules at shopwillowbrook.com.

Potter’s is the location of the annual Twins Cancer Fundraising’s Rad Santa photo sessions, and this year’s event – on tap for Friday, Nov. 30 – includes a pet component from 4 to 5 p.m. It’s by donation.

Last, but not least, Langley Animal Protection Society is hosting its annual Santa photos at the Aldergrove shelter on Sunday, Dec. 2. This event, with a limit of 40 spots, is already fully booked, said executive director Jayne Nelson.

It typically raises about $1,000 for LAPS.

“Santa will see more than 60 pets ranging from birds to dogs and cats, and the money raised will support our unique programs that focus on improving the welfare of the animals we care for at LAPS,” Nelson said.
