Reindeer will be busy at the zoo in Aldergrove

Christmas holiday fun for families at the Greater Vancouver Zoo

Get festive with the reindeer at the Greater Vancouver Zoo this Christmas.

Throughout the school holidays the zoo will be hosting a series of Christmas-themed learning experiences and activities.

Christmas at the Greater Vancouver Zoo runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily, from Friday, Dec. 21 to Monday, Dec. 24. With the cold winter weather upon us, stay cozy as you ride the zoo’s train with blankets and hot chocolate available from the “Animalasium” to keep you nice and warm.

On Saturday and Sunday, December 22-23 be at the zoo at 2 p.m. to witness an educational enrichment walk for one of the zoo’s reindeer as it walks with its keeper from their enclosure to the map by the Oryx enclosure. The keeper will be providing educational information and answering any questions.

The zoo will be closed on Christmas day but re-opens during the school holidays Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Dec. 31, daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
