There was live music and hot chocolate and cookies, and, of course, Santa.

Several hundred people turned out for the official lighting of the Christmas tree at the Fort Langley community hall on Saturday.

Santa arrived at the docks by the Leləm’ Arts and Cultural Cafe and walked with a crowd of fans to the community hall.

Organizers issued a thank you to The Cap Group: Raymond James in Fort Langley for making the 2017 tree lighting possible, and to Wendel’s Bookstore and Cafe for the hot chocolate and cookies.
