The Ishtar Transition Housing Society was started 43 years ago.

Lunch by donation is available June 16 at the Ishtar Transition Housing Society which is marking its 43rd anniversary this year.

Drop by 6350 203rd St. to meet the staff and learn about the programs offered. There will be historical documents and photos on view and a birthday cake.

A barbecue lunch will be available by donation from noon to 1:30 p.m.

“We’re just wanting to celebrate how incredible the community of Langley is and how it’s supported us,” said executive director Laurie Parsons.
