The grand opening of the Acts of Kindness Centre is Sept. 12 and everyone is welcome to attend.

The centre is part of the newly built Church in the Valley A Seventh-day Adventist Church at 23589 Old Yale Rd.

The ribbon cutting starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by a grand opening ceremony at 11 a.m. A reception and tours follow.

“The purpose of the ceremony is to highlight the importance of ‘Sharing the Christ who cares, together,’” said Dr. David Jamieson, the lead pastor.

Invited are local dignitaries MLA Rich Coleman, MP Mark Warawa and his wife Diane Warawa, and Township Mayor Jack Froese.

The church has spent several years renovating homes for people in the community through its Acts of Kindness program. Now it has a new home.
