Sunday’s traveling garden party through Langley Township was a flowery success.

“It was a fabulous sunny day and we received glowing reports from all 60 guests,” reported Robin Bandenieks, one of the organizers of the sold out tour, which served as a fundraiser for next month’s 104th annual Aldergrove Fair Days, and visited six gardens within the Township.

This was the first year of the tour, and while it didn’t raise a huge amount of money for the cause, Bandenieks said judging from the positive response, organizers are “seriously thinking” about holding another one next year.

Bandenieks noted a comment from tour guest, Doreen Searle: “The tour was fantastic. Both me and my friend Gail thought the private gardens were just beautiful and such labours of love. As well, the luncheon by the St Dunstan Anglican Church was so delicious. It was so well organized – nice comfy bus, all on schedule, great brochure to tell where we were going next… I am sure next year’s tour will need two buses!”
